After a long hiatus Chris and Charlie are back!  Just in time for Christmas to discuss the 2004 animated classic: "The Polar Express.  Join us for a fun and somewhat creepy trip to the North Pole!

We are back after a long hiatus!  Charlie and Chris delve into 1984's "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" to see what lurks within.  We talk about our histories with the movie and what we expected revisiting it in 2021.  Mostly we just gush about what a great, underappreciated classic this is.

Just in time for the Holiday Season!  Chris, Lauren, and Jeff talk about 1983's "Wargames".  We discuss the finer points of computer hacking, 80's cold war paranoia, Matthew Broderick, and Global Thermonuclear War!

Chris, Charlie, and Jackie take on 2005's "Revenge of the Sith".  It's our first foray into the Star Wars franchise, and we discuss the finale of the prequel trilogy both on its own and in the context of the franchise as a whole.  Join us as we talk about the characters, the battles, the dialogue, and the memes you know and love!

Stacee is back!  And she's ready to talk about the 1984 fantasy film: "The Neverending Story".  We discuss the finer points of 80's fantasy, creepy attics, and traumatizing our kids, as we unwrap the meta-narrative of this classic.  We also try to figure out what exactly Bastion shouts into the storm.

Mark & Chris talk about 1987's "The Princess Bride".  In the process they scale the cliffs of insanity, swim through eel infested waters, and battle rodents of unusual size.  Then the kids and Lauren get to weigh in too! Despite the kidnapping, torture, and kissing we all end up okay.

Chris, Charlie, and Lauren unite to take on a terrifying space monster in 1964's "Ghidorah, the 3-Headed Monster".  Actually, it's mostly just Chris and Charlie who unite while Lauren chimes in with snarky comments.  Chris shares his remembrances of a Godzilla filled childhood with his son.  Wholesome family fun.

Lauren and Chris talk about 'The Phantom of the Opera' the musical from 1986 that recently became available for free for a few days on YouTube.  We discuss our histories with this particular musical and life before our marriage in general.  The kids chime in with their opinions and we all break into song! (Okay not everyone)

Jeff & Chris contemplate 'The Star Trek Problem', specifically how to get their kids into Star Trek.  Jeff reports some success with The Next Generation episode "Elementary Dear Data".  We review the episode and with fingers crossed I show it to my kids.  Find out what they thought in this second episode of The Family Starship.

Stacee and Chris watch the 1986 film SpaceCamp.  We reminisce about our lost youth and then share the film with our families.  We contemplate the wonder of traveling in space and conjuring up a sentient AI one night for the lulz.  The kids then weigh in with their opinions.
